We are seeking a dedicated Equine Barn and Grounds Assistant to support the maintenance and care of our equine facilities and surrounding grounds. This role involves hands-on work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal of the property. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working outdoors, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable operating various tools and equipment to maintain the grounds and facilities efficiently.
Assist with daily care and management of horses, including feeding, grooming, and stall cleaning
Perform lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain lush grounds
Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as tractors, mowers, and mules for construction or landscaping projects
Carry out maintenance tasks during inclement weather
Support hardscape projects including installing or repairing pathways, fences, or outdoor structures
Perform general groundskeeping duties to uphold safety standards and visual appeal
Assist with horticulture tasks, and other landscaping projects as needed

Mechanical knowledge related to lawn care equipment, power tools, and construction machinery such as tractors
Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening and horticulture practices
Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in outdoor settings
Familiarity with irrigation systems
Knowledge of hardscape installation and maintenance techniques
Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
Ability to follow safety protocols while handling equipment and performing groundskeeping tasks
Good organizational skills to prioritize daily duties effectively
